Katie's six hour operation came after she returned to rehab earlier this year and she told The Sun in May she was three-months drug and alcohol free.
Speaking exclusively to The Sun Online today, she confirmed the book and said: “I want to help others to help themselves.
"You have two hands – one for helping yourself and one for helping others."
A source has also told new! Magazine of Katie's fresh life outlook and said: “She's started seeing her life coach again who is helping her stay positive.
“Katie is really embracing positivity and she's making sure she's surrounding herself with all the right people and cutting out anything that doesn't benefit her life.
“She plans to write a self-help inspirational book – a memoir of dos and don'ts.
"If anyone can give advice from her own hiccups in life, it's Katie.”
The Sun Online previously reported how Katie, 42, is penning a memoir to prove you can "rebuild your life and recover".
Previously, Katie told The Sun: "I have learnt more in the past two weeks about myself than ever before.
"I want to share that and help others to inspire them to fulfil their dreams as I know I will.“
Her latest memoir follows 11 novels, six autobiographies, one fashion book, and two series of children's books.
“Katie’s next book will be her most honest yet and she has had a lot of time in the past few weeks to reflect and work on it.” a source said.
“She wants to use it to set the record straight about a few things.
"And, most importantly, she wants it to be an opportunity for her to show people that you can rebuild your life and recover."
Katie has already warned her exes that her next autobiography will be her most "explosive" yet.
