KATIE Price has admitted she fears she'll have acid thrown on her at her book signings – and refuses doing pictures with fans "in case they have a knife".

During a debate on Steph's Packed Lunch on Channel 4 today, Katie opened up about the worry she has when doing public events.

"Back in the day I felt safe," said Katie.

"But now with acid attacks – how do I know someone's not in the queue and is just going to throw acid at me?

"Now I say I won't do pictures next to them because how do I know they haven't got a knife there to stab me.

"You do have to think of this. It's a shame that people do that because it ruins what people want to do with everyone.

"These days I do things differently. I don't mind if someone wants to egg me – go for it! But don't acid attack me or stab me or something.

"I've had name-calling, that's it. But no one has physically done something."

Katie has been promising fans a seventh book detailing her crazy life since her last autobiography release in 2016.

But the wait is finally over as the former glamour model is said to have signed a six-figure deal to write her "explosive" new volume.

Katie, 42, has topped the best seller list with novels detailing the ups and downs of her life since the release of her first book, Angel, in 2006.

Since then, the mum-of-five has gone on to write six autobiographies, with the last – detailing her relationship with ex Kieran Hayler – released in 2016.

While fans have been eagerly awaiting the seventh instalment – sources have confirmed that the wait is over as Katie has signed a six-figure deal.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun Online, a book insider said: "Katie's really excited about this latest deal. It'll be about her life, but she's warned friends it's not exactly an autobiography like the ones in the past."

Not wanting to give away the juicy details the source teased of the upcoming release: "It'll tell readers a lot they don't know about her."

Katie's representative also confirmed the news, saying: "A reveal will follow soon."
