Kate Garraway has revealed she'd like to bag Piers Morgan as a future guest on Kate Garraway's Life Stories.

Piers used to present the sit-down ITV chat show for years, when it used to be called Piers Morgan's Life Stories, but he left the programme last year.

It came just months after the former Good Morning Britain anchor sensationally quit ITV in the wake of his row over Meghan Markle.

It was his GMB co-star Kate who stepped in to replace Piers as host after she became his final guest on the programme, which features bare-all interviews.

Kate Garraway has now revealed she'd love to have Piers back on Life Stories, but this time he'd be sitting in the guest chair.

The ITV presenter spoke to Daily Star's Sam Huntley and other press at the 2022 TRIC Awards, which was held at Grosvenor House in London.

Asked what it's like to take over from Piers, Kate said: "Well crikey, Piers is Piers isn't he. He's amazing, isn't he? We're opposites. We'll see if it's more like mine rather than borrowing his."

When grilled about her future guests, Kate confirmed she had some "big" stars lined up for Life Stories, but she couldn't yet reveal who.

An excited Kate said: "Yes. Can't ruin the surprise of it!"

However, she did admit she'd love to get her pal Piers on, presumably to talk about his endlessly explosive career and brutally unfiltered viewers.

Offering fans hope for a future Piers episode, Kate replied: "That would be brilliant, wouldn't it?"

So far, Kate has interviewed the likes of Dame Joan Collins, Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer, Charlotte Church, footy legend John Barnes and Bake Off winner Nadiya Hussain.

Piers already made an epic comeback to ITV earlier this year when he appeared on Lorraine Kelly's daytime chat show.

He couldn't help doing a fake storm off, which poked fun at his furious GMB storm-off after clashing with Alex Beresford.

Morgan made his TV comeback earlier this year as he launched his chat show show, Piers Morgan Uncensored, which first aired in April on News UK's new channel, TalkTV.
