ITV's Lorraine has been cut short as Boris Johnson prepares to resign as Prime Minister.

Just thirty minutes into the daytime show, the beloved Scott was informed by TV bosses that her show would be cut short after the news broke from Number 10.

The mum-of-one was forced to cut her interview short with JLS member Aston Merrygold as Downing Street confirmed he would be making a statement today where it is expected for him to confirm his resignation as leader of the Conservative party.

The news channel went live with a political correspondent Nina Hassain outside Downing Street as she explained to viewers at home how the Prime Minister is set to step down as Conservative leader.
