I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! bosses have made a complete U-turn on their decision to ban friends and family venturing to the camp.

The gruelling show, which is normally filmed in the Australian jungle, recently faced major hurdles due to the coronavirus pandemic, before it was moved to Gwrych Castle in Abergele, North Wales.

Before announcing that the famous camp had relocated, bosses had reportedly stopped campmates' friends and families jetting to Aus with them in a bid to cut costs and to contain the spread of coronavirus.

Previously, it's said that I'm A Celeb execs had spent around £100,000 on business class flights for contestants loved ones to meet them at the end of their stint.

They would also live in luxury at the Palazzo Versace hotel on the Gold Coast.

However, as the forthcoming 2020 series approaches, sources claim that loved ones will now be able to greet one another.

Speaking to The Sun, a mole said: "With the show moving to Wales, the ban no longer made sense.

"Not only is it cheaper to get friends and family there, but they won't have to quarantine or comply with Australia's strict coronavirus restrictions."

The change of heart is expected to save ITV thousands, with an off-peak return from London Euston to nearby Rhyl or Shotton sometimes costing around £90.

Whereas an economy flight to Australia can set the production company back by £1,500 per person.

The upcoming series which will celebrate 20 years of the hit show will see Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly reprise their roles fronting the programme.

It's believed that lucky campers will be swapping their sprawling homes for the 200-year-old Gwrych Castle which is reportedly haunted.

Local myth says that historic castle is haunted by former owner Winifred Cochrane, Countess of Dundonald, who passed away in 1924.

Reports also suggest that a former servant walks around the estate as well as former groundskeepers.

ITV bosses are believed to be planning to include the ghost theme in the upcoming series and are hoping that ghostly activity will be captured on camera.
