MATT Hancock hoped to show I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! fans the “real him” in an bid for redemption this series.
The former Health Secretary, 44, faced six consecutive Bushtucker Trials that saw him come face to face with creepy critters and eat a camel’s penis.
Matt was reunited with his partner Gina Coladangelo, 45, after coming in third place and he embraced her in a passionate clinch.
Observers have noted that their snog appeared to mirror the bombshell CCTV footage revealed by The Sun last year, which exposed their affair and broke Covid guidelines.
Now, body language expert Judi James reveals the five main things we can tell about their relationship from how they reacted together on I’m A Celebrity.
‘Old habits die hard’

Judi believes the similarities between those two clinches “suggest Matt hasn’t changed much” despite his attempts to find the “path to salvation”.
She told The Sun: “His embrace of Gina involved one ‘starfish’ splayed hand pressed hard into the flesh of her back while the other hand held her lower waist with the fingers dangerously close to her bum.
“Old body language habits die hard and this way of pressing her upper and lower torso against his own looked sexual rather than romantic.”
‘Gina calls the shots’
While Matt hoped to show the audience the “real me” in the jungle, Judi says he “tended to watch others to copy and mimic their behaviour”.
She believes his reserved nature was highlighted during his kiss on the I’m A Celebrity bridge, which she claimed showed Gina “still appears to call the non-verbal shots”.
Judi added: “He seems to get his lead from Gina here, standing open-mouthed as she rushes up to throw her arms around his neck.
“In their infamous snog-gate video, we also saw Gina with her arms and hands up around his neck in a gesture of more adult control and she was the one that stepped away first.”
‘Socially awkward’
Despite presenting a “can’t keep their hands off one another” image at the I’m A Celebrity afterparty, Judi isn’t sold.
She believes Matt “still looks socially awkward with Gina” even when he listens to her talk.
Judi added: “His smile looks as politely fake as some of his jungle smiles and the way he keeps looking around suggests he’s still got his eye out for cameras and PR moments.”
‘Poses for the camera’
Despite claims that Matt is eying up a way to land more showbiz gigs, Judi believes he is “still in politician mode” when around Gina.
She said: “We can see the camera crews walking past the couple and nobody coming for a chat and in the end, Matt seems to drop his arm from Gina and stop trying pose-wise.”
‘Looks needy’
Judi claims Matt “likes to look needy with Gina” and his actions at the aftershow party highlighted it.
She said: “The most intense aftershow pose involves Matt ‘hiding’ behind Gina with both arms round her waist and his head pressed into her neck and face.
“This looks like a desire to get her attention and show ownership as well as promote passion.
“Her hands on his clasp and his arm validate the pose but it does leave her facing the cameras in a non-protective way.”
