Tonight’s episode of Emmerdale will see Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley) reveal a huge secret as she and Vinny (Bradley Johnson) navigate lockdown together.

She and Vinny (Bradley Johnson) are spending lockdown in the salon, after Sam (James Hooton) kicked them out due to fears over Lydia (Karen Blick)’s health.

And we can expect to see the pair initially making the most of their time together, only for things to turn serious as she confesses something that has affected her whole life.

The pair have of course been very close since Vinny’s arrival and Mandy’s return to the village last year – but just how are they related?

How are Vinny and Mandy related in Emmerdale?

Although Mandy has taken care of – and raised Vinny – he’s not her biological child.

He’s the son of a former flame of her’s – a man named Paul. Mandy revealed that she was head over heels for Paul, and it didn’t take her long to fall in love with Vinny.

However, Paul upped sticks and left one day, leaving Mandy with Vinny, and she faced a conflict as she deliberated whether to inform social services about what happened or to abscond with Vinny in tow. She ultimately decided on the latter.

Vinny revealed that all he ever wanted to was to feel like part of a family — hence why he never revealed his true parentage to the Dingles.

But, after Sam (James Hooton) and Lydia (Karen Black) realised what he was willing to do for Samson, they welcomed him into the Dingle clan with open arms.

As Mandy’s secret comes out, meanwhile, Vinny is finally set to understand her long-held resentments and fears – but just what is it?

You’ll have to tune in to find out for yourself…

Emmerdale continues on Monday on ITV at 7pm.
