A MUSICIAN insisted a DNA test proved he is late Bee Gee Maurice GIbb's secret son on This Morning today – leaving Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield stunned.

Nick Endacott said he uploaded his DNA results to an online ancestry database and found a match in Maurice's son Adam.

Holly, 39, looked sympathetic and baffled at the same time, as Nick opened up about his story on Tuesday's episode of the ITV programme.

He said: "Recently I put my DNA on ancestry.co.uk and Maurice's son Adam had done the same thing.

"We are almost a 100 per cent match which could only happen if we were half brothers. We have the same parent."

Asked how he feels about his findings, Nick, 52, said: "It is overwhelming actually.

"The completion I feel and the wholeness I feel. Because when you don't know your identity it's hard to explain that to anyone who does know."

The Gibb family has refused to engage with Nick, and Phil, 57, asked if he is worried that going public has ruined his chances of a relationship with them.

Nick added: "I would love to connect because they are all musicians like me.

"I don't know how they feel, whether Adam put his DNA up there on purpose to help me, but I want to publicly thank him for doing that."

Nick first came forward in 2017 and alleged that he was Maurice's son.

He said as a baby he was adopted after being given away by his mum Patti Nolder who was associated with some of the biggest names in pop music in the sixties.

The musician then claimed that Maurice's widow, Yvonne, initially said she would be happy for a DNA test to be carried out but has since withdrew permission.

Nick also said he has written three letters to Maurice's brother Barry, begging for help as he is the only living brother.

Maurice died in 2003 at the age of 53, due to complications of a twisted intestine. His twin, Robin, died in 2012 from liver and kidney failure.

After his death, Maurice was described as a "controlled alcoholic", who battled substance abuse for many years.

Nick is also concerned about his health and believes he has a right to know if he is Maurice's son in case he suffers similar genetic health complications.

However, her mother Patti said back in 2017 that her son's claims were "all lies".
