General Hospital has been full of highs and lows. And, as fans of the show know, not all of them have been in front of the camera. But, this week, Maxie and Nina will be facing the music for their respective secrets they’ve kept for all this time. And, needless to say, neither one of them is happy about it.

[Spoiler alert: Potential spoilers for upcoming episodes of General Hospital are ahead.]

On ‘General Hospital,’ Maxie is desperate to stop Peter

If there’s one thing that Maxie knows for sure, it’s that she cannot let Peter get his hands on their baby. Sure, Maxie has been telling lies about the paternity (and the maternity) of her baby. But if you had a crazy baby daddy like Peter August, you’d be hiding your baby too.

And on this week’s episodes of General Hospital, we’ll be seeing how far Maxie is willing to go to keep Peter away. In the past, she’s had Brook Lynn to rely on (in a manner of speaking). Brook Lynn, however, has her own drama to contend with now, and she’s becoming less of a reliable ally.

Worse still, Maxie knows what Drew and Jason have been finding out this week: Peter has the ability to control people’s minds, and he will manipulate everything and everyone to get what he wants.

Peter is working his way through Port Charles

Unfortunately for Maxie, Peter has been showing what he’s made of over this past week on General Hospital. (And can we say that Wes Ramsey is doing an awesome job? This week is definitely his Daytime Emmy reel!) For the past two days, he’s been showing Port Charles what he’s made of, making strategic deals and flexing his muscle.

And, in this coming week, he’s going to continue to strike terror in the hearts of Port Charles residents. Soaps @ SheKnows believes the drama with Peter will come to a head on the Nov. 19 episode of the show. That’s when Maxie and Nina will sit down and weigh out the mess that is their lives, and when Peter will be at his absolute worst.

Because, sure, why not.

Meanwhile, Nina faces the music

As for Nina: inasmuch as Sonny’s family missed out when Nina told her lies, so too did her own family. According to Celeb Dirty Laundry, even though Sonny and Nina had a nostalgic moment where they remembered the Tan-O, they both realized that they could never get that moment back.

This week, though, “Nina crosses paths with her grandson and Willow. Will Michael’s girlfriend allow her son to spend time with his grandmother?” We’re going to go out on a limb here and say probably not (or, if she does, it will be a very limited amount of time). After all, as was previously mentioned, Nina’s family was negatively affected by the drama, too. They have a right to grieve in their own way.

This week’s General Hospital will definitely be full of surprises, and not all of them are happy ones.
