The Masked Singer is one of the hottest shows on the primetime TV circuit, at the moment, and has been doing its best to help viewers shake off the January blues.
Episode three of the series aired on Saturday, January 8, and saw the show whittled down to just nine contenders.
The four judges, Mo Gilligan, Davina McCall, Jonathan Ross and Rita Ora are all keeping their eyes peeled as best they can to try and work out who it is behind the elaborate costumes.
The idea for the competition first appeared in South Korea in 2015, where it was called The King of Mask Singer.
Mushroom, Firework, Robobunny, Bagpipes, Traffic Cones, Panda, Rockhopper, Poodle and Doughnuts all remain after three contestants bit the dust in previous weeks.
Who has been unmasked on The Masked Singer 2022 so far?
The first to fall was 90s music icon Heather Small after masquerading as the Chandelier on The Masked Singer 2022.
Second to bite the dust was presenter Gloria Hunniford, known for her work on Loose Women. She lifted the lid on her getup as a Snow Leopard, with judge Jonathan Ross having guessed who was lurking underneath.
In an exclusive interview with the Radio Times Hunniford, 81, said: "I started to sing when I was seven and I hate to tell you but it was pre-television days. But I haven’t sung on a stage in something like 27 years.
“I couldn’t believe it when I was asked to take part.
Davina McCall forced to don trainers with dress on The Masked Singer after injury
“I’m of a certain age and it was a challenge. It sounded like a lot of fun and I thought I’d like to try it.”
The third and most recent contender to leave the show was singer Will Young following his performance of Celeste’s Stop This Flame.
He had been performing under the guise of Lionfish and left most of the judging panel in shock when he lifted the lid of his aquatic character.
Ross and Ora both agreed it was Young, however.
When are celebrities revealed on The Masked Singer?
A new contestant will be unmasked each week until the final, which is still several weeks away.
Only time will tell who will be lifting the lid on this weekend's episode, but judges will have their chances to guess the mystery celebrity on Saturday night's episode.
How does The Masked Singer work?
Singers battle it out in a face-off style competition fully hidden from view in their huge costumes.
The celebrity judging panel and audience then vote for the performance they like the most, and the winner of each face-off battle will be safe for that week. The loser of each battle is at risk of getting the axe.
The panel will try to guess the identity of each contender, with hints dropped about who might be under the mask dropped throughout.
Judges cast the overall vote on who should leave, at which point the mystery contestant is revealed.
What day is The Masked singer and how can I watch it?
