Emmerdale star Joe-Warren Plant has revealed he’d like to return to acting school to gain more education.
Joe-Warren has played Jacob Gallagher in the ITV soap since 2010 but wants to return to schooling in order to help reach the level he wants to be at.
Speaking on Lorraine, Joe explained: ‘I think I need to go back to acting classes, for sure. I’ve always got some improving to do. There’s a level I want to get to but I’m not quite there yet’.
Joe-Warren also revealed that his father used to be an extra in Corrie.
‘My mum and my dad sent me to theatre school in Blackpool to try to improve my confidence’, he added.
‘It was my dad who used to be on Emmerdale as an extra and he did
parts in Coronation Street. He never got that role that I’ve been so lucky to get. So I think he just channelled all his energy into me’.
In Emmerdale, Jacob is currently dealing with the loss of his former girlfriend Leanna (Mimi Slinger), who was murdered by Meena (Paige Sandhu).
Involved in plenty of upsetting and intense scenes, Joe admitted the emotional acting is as mentally and physically exhausting as learning a routine on ITV’s Dancing on Ice, following his short-stint on the show.
‘Both Emmerdale and Dancing on Ice were physically and mentally exhausting. Skating around on a rink for a couple of minutes is harder than you think.
But also, crying in every scene or shouting in every scene is pretty tough as well!’
