Emmerdale fans were left worried last week when Chas Dingle (played by Dominic Brunt) threw some mean words at Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) after he called the police on Kirin Kotecha (Rish Shah). The Woolpack landlady brought up the fact the vet accidentally left baby Eve in the car when rushing Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) to hospital earlier this year. It seems Chas has given up on her partner once and for all after she is spotted with Al Chapman (Michael Wildman).

In the past few months, Chas has been questioning her relationship.

Despite having two children with Paddy; Grace and Eve, the pub owner is doubting his personality traits.

In upcoming scenes Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) is going to step in, and fans will see him ask Bear Wolf (Joshua Richards) for advice.

The pair will sit down and brainstorm ideas for how they can help Paddy and Chas get their relationship back on track.

But they will be interrupted by the couple arguing.

Chas will storm out and Paddy is left to look after Eve for the afternoon despite work commitments.

As for where Chas has gone to, viewers will see her at the Zen Gardens.

But she is not alone, as Al is hiding from Rishi Sharma (Bhasker Patel) in a bush.

The two begin chatting, and it isn’t long before Al figures out why Chas has snuck off from the pub.

Together they end up flirting harmlessly, talking about each other’s partners and the difficulties they are having.

As Al heads back to work, it is clear Chas enjoyed the moment they shared.

A few days later, it is the anniversary of Grace’s passing.

Chas heads to the graveyard and lays some flowers on her baby’s grave.

She takes the moment to reflect on the state of her and Paddy’s relationships.

Will she give Paddy another chance?

The pair have been through an awful lot in the past 18 months, and it is clear Paddy is not giving up on their love.

However, it has recently become clear that Paddy and Chas are not the perfect match.

Perhaps a dalliance with Al is something that excites Chas a little more?

But what does this mean for Priya Sharma (Fiona Wade)?

It comes after fans called out Chas’ behaviour after Paddy did the legally right thing to get Kirin arrested.

Taking to Twitter, one said: “Ohhhhh what Chas said to Paddy was a low blow #Emmerdale.”

“Chas gaslighting Paddy. #Emmerdale,” another wrote.

Someone else mentioned: “I wish #Emmerdale had the balls to explore an emotional abuse storyline with Chas and Paddy. She’s clearly an abusive partner but the writers are far too obsessed with her to turn her into a villain.”

Perhaps this side of Chas is a new storyline arc for the character?

Emmerdale airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 7pm on ITV.
