Emmerdale fans have predicted Belle has an ulterior motive, as she continues to plague Jamie Tate with questions about the hit and run accident.

Jamie ran over Moira Dingle, leaving her for dead, only for his ex-wife Andrea and girlfriend Belle to learn the truth.

During tonight's episode, viewers were convinced Belle was trying to sweet talk Jamie into giving her more evidence of his crime.

As he revealed where he abandoned his car – at the bottom of the lake – certain fans of the show had their suspicions roused.

Over on Twitter, one said: "Now that it looks like Belle is going to royally shaft Jamie, I'm fully invested in watching her get all the proof she needs before the shafting."

A second added: "Belle is secretly getting revenge on Jamie 100 %."

And a third chimed: "Belle being the woman with all the questions. I wonder is she starting to turn against him?"
