This Morning bosses were forced to step in during Friday's show as host Eamonn Holmes appeared to break social distancing rules live on air.
Guest Matthew Wright showed off his new mullet hairstyle during the latest edition of the ITV daytime show and Eamonn wanted to see it for himself.
Eamonn, 60, got up off the famous sofa and walked over to former I'm A Celeb star Matthew to see the hair do for himself.
However, Ruth, 60, was forced to tell the Irish broadcaster to sit down and keep two metres away from Matthew.
Eamonn strutted back to his seat and told viewers: "I'm being told about social distancing" while pointing to his ear piece.
Ruth reminded her husband: "You're not aloud to touch him. Get back."
Earlier in the show, Eamonn took a savage swipe at show bosses during his and Ruth's final Friday show.
After a cheeky conversation with his wife and co-star, Eamonn joked: "Which is why they are getting rid of us on a Friday morning after all this chat."
Loose Women star Ruth, also 60, told her husband: "Stop it!".
Before going live to the nation, Eamonn shared a candid black-and-white snap alongside Ruth from their time at the National Television Awards.
In view of his 702,000 followers, he penned: "We bow out of 15 years of our Friday slot on This Morning today.
"Thanks for the memories. I hope we made some for you too. Until February, May it be a Happy Christmas to you all."
It was recently announced that Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary will be replacing the veteran hosts on This Morning.
Former Big Brother star Alison, 45, and X Factor host Dermot, 47, will present the show on Fridays in January, with Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield still presenting each Monday to Thursday.
