Today’s This Morning saw Kasey return to the sofa with her rescue dog Maggie, who appeared on the show a year ago, and new puppy Millie. The puppy was born a stray in Russia and had been shot in the face multiple times. Due to her severe facial injuries she lost her snout but since being rescued has a new life as a therapy dog.

Eamonn Holmes and Rochelle were thrilled to be joined by Dr Scott, Kasey and the two puppies on the sofa.

But when Maggie began to struggle sneezing, Eamonn was keen to find out if they were safe from coronavirus.

Dr Scott joked: “Oh I think she might be a little bit allergic to this conversation.”

“So Maggie can’t see?” Eamonn asked.

“When I first going to meet these dogs, I thought, ‘Wow, is their welfare compromised?’

“But looking at Kasey, watching these dogs…,” however he was interrupted by Maggie who finally sneezed.

Eamonn quickly jumped in: “Can I just ask, can dogs get coronavirus?”

“No, dogs can’t get coronavirus, they can’t,” Dr Scott assured the host.

“I knew you were going to do that Eamonn.”

It came not long after Eamonn had to reassure viewers his wife Ruth Langsford did not have the virus after she pulled out of today’s show.
