The theatrical release of the X-Men spin-off The New Mutants has been postponed yet again.
Disney, the new owner of X-Men studio 20th Century Fox, announced their release slate through 2027 on Tuesday, which saw several Fox movies release dates changed, including James Cameron’s Avatar sequels and a new Star Wars trilogy.
The New Mutants was slated for release on August 2, 2019 but will now open April 3, 2020.
The film’s release date was previously postponed from April 13, 2018, to August 2019 to allow for reshoots to add an additional character, while later reports claimed that at least half of the movie might be reshot over creative differences between director Josh Boone and Fox brass.
The New Mutants stars Maisie Williams, Anya Taylor-Joy, Blu Hunt, Charlie Heaton, Henry Zaga, and Alice Braga.
