AMY Hart has hit out at BBC Radio 1 after she was devastated by the station offering Love Island fans the chance to be dumped by Curtis Pritchard.

The Love Island star accused the station of "trivialising her pain" after ex Curtis dumped her after weeks of dating in the ITV2 reality show.

Presenter Chris Stark posted a shout out for fans of the show on social media.

He wrote: "Would you like the chance to be dumped by Curtis from Love Island?

"We've had an idea for the show where we can offer you a fake dumping.

"Keen to do a few of these with loads of you. So if you'd like to know what it's like to be dumped by Curtis message me back now…"

But Amy was left devastated by the post and posted a screenshot of it with her own thoughts to her Instagram account.

She commented: "One of the replies was 'it's going to be funny, get him to email in'.

"I thought we were being conscious of mental health these days?

"I'm all for a laugh but I just feel that trivialising something that so many people resonated with and turning it into a laughing matter isn't entertainment."

Amy and Curtis were together for four weeks until he realised his feelings for her weren't as strong as he first thought and he ended their relationship.

Amy was left devastated and later left the villa, while Curtis went on to get together with Maura Higgins and the pair made the finale coming in fourth place overall.
