Coronation Street star Katie McGlynn’s character Sinead Tinker make a heartbreaking exit when her character loses her cervical cancer battle.
Sinead is set to receive the devastating news that her treatment has failed, and the only option left is whether she would like to pass away at home, or in a hospice.
Katie has become a fan favourite during her six years on the street, and her untimely exit is sure to upset fans.
A TV insider told The Sun: “From her two rocky relationships to the mini-bus crash, she’s been in some of Corrie’s most captivating storylines.
“And producers will be sad to see Katie leave the soap, but she will make an unforgettable departure which is set to leave viewers in tears.”

The news is set to devastate her on-screen boyfriend Daniel Osbourne, played by Rob Mallard, who was been wth Katie ever since her cancer diagnosis.

The 25 year old actress recently revealed that her character's storyline has had a lasting effect on her.
Speaking exclusively to OK! magazine, Katie said: “The figures are mental. Two women a day are diagnosed in or around pregnancy."
She added: “I’ve grown as a person and I don’t take life for granted now.
"When we started the storyline, I checked I’d had a smear done and then I was worrying about it. It makes you realise you’re not invincible.”
Following the storyline, Katie is a patron of Mummy’s Star – a cancer charity who advised the ITV soap on the issue.

She also ran the 10k Great Manchester Run earlier this year with her co-star Rob to raise money for Mummy’s Star.
She said: “It was so hot last year but I want to raise awareness for Mummy’s Star, who advised us on the cervical cancer storyline.
"The founder’s wife was diagnosed with cancer during pregnancy and sadly passed away six weeks after giving birth.
"As an actress, I can go home and be Katie again, but other women are living with what Sinead experienced."
