The cast members of Coronation Street have got a lot more in common with each other than just entertaining ITV viewers with some of the best soap drama out there.

Many of the stars of the soaps have brought their real life family members onto set them, with real life siblings, cousins, and even parents and their children sharing a set.

Weatherfield has been home to plenty of of them, and fans of Corrie were shocked to learn last year that the late Rick Neelan was actually the real life brother of regular guest star, footballer Tommy Orpington.

But they're not the only ones to be related on and off air, as the soap has been home to plenty of real life families.

Daily Star is taking a look at all of the family members working together at Corrie.

Brooke Vincent and Ellie Leach

Fans know that Brooke, who plays Sophie Webster on the soap, was joined by her real life cousin Ellie Leach on the soap.

Brooke has been playing Sophie since 2004, and was joined by Ellie, playing Faye Windass from 2009.

Brooke is currently on maternity leave from the soap after giving birth to first son Mexx last year, but she and Ellie are still current stars on the show.

Fans were hoping the cousins would be reunited soon, but Brooke has since announced she is pregnant with her second child, so it looks like they will have a while to wait.

Greg Wood and Matt Milburn

Greg Wood's villainous alter-ego Rick Neelan first arrived on the cobbles in 2009, terrorising characters until his death back in 2019, after being murdered by Gary Windass.

Rick was confirmed dead after being hit over the head with a rock, although fans had to wait and see what his fate was well after the grisly showdown.

His brother Matt has been making regular appears on the soap as footballer Tommy Orpington, and has been seen on-screen as part of storylines such as James Bailey's coming out and following Seb Franklin's murder.

The pair never got to share a scene, but fans noticed a tribute to their secret connection last year when Rick was shown in an office with local celebrity Tommy's football calendar on full display on the wall.

Debbie and Poppy Rush

This one is a soap crossover as Debbie, who played Anna Windass, had a daughter who appeared in EastEnders back in 2016.

Whilst fan favourite Anna was on the soap from 2008 to 2018, Poppy was playing Kyle Slater's best friend Sophie Dodd on the rival soap on BBC.

She was only on the soap for 11 episodes, but she certainly made an impression after getting together with Tina Carter behind the back of Sonia Fowler.

Meanwhile, Anna made a dramatic departure back after murdering her rapist Pat Phelan in a shocking showdown during Michelle Connor's wedding.

Sue Jenkins and Richard Fleeshman

Sue Jenkins's character Gloria Todd arrived in Corrie back in 1985, and made her exit three years later.

She famously served as a bridesmaid at Bet Lynch's wedding, and left the soap after stealing Sandra Stubbs' boyfriend.

Sue's son Richard Fleeshman followed her footsteps and came on the soap as Craig Harris back in 2002.

He stayed on the cobbles until 2006, leaving behind then-girlfriend Rosie Webster (Helen Flanagan) to be with his family.

Isabella and William Flanagan

Real life twins Isabella and William are both on the soap together currently, with Isabella playing the naughty Hope Stape since 2017.

William plays Hope's cousin Joseph Brown, the son of Chesney Brown and the late Katy Armstrong.

The pair rarely share scenes together, but their older sister Amelia is also a soap star, as she plays April Windsor on Emmerdale.

The acting bug clearly runs in the family.
