IT'S a whodunit that’s had soap fans gripped for weeks and now Coronation Street bosses have revealed we are just days away from finding out who sabotaged the factory roof back in March.
The ceiling caved in, killing Rana Habeeb, who was due to marry Kate Connor that very day.
Since then, Carla Connor has spiralled into psychosis after blaming herself for failing to fix the roof in time.
Viewers saw a shadowy figure take to the roof, armed with a crowbar, deliberately tamper with it.
But up until now, no one has known who that figure was.
But we don’t have to wait much longer.
A Corrie spokesperson told Inside Soap: “Following weeks of speculation, we are finally going to learn which local has blood on their hands.
'Viewers will learn the truth, although the rest of the Street still has a little way to go before they clock on.
'It's a story that is going to run and run, and the outcome is not going to be cut and dried.'
Corrie named six official suspects back in March – Nick Tilsley, Carla Connor, Robert Preston, Gary Windass, Seb Franklin and Peter Barlow.
While each of the suspects has their own reasons for damaging the roof, fans seem convinced that Bistro owner Robert is behind it.
Following devastating scenes where Rana passed away in Kate’s arms viewers of the popular soap began questioning where Robert went after suspiciously disappearing during the episode.
Viewers have become wary of Robert who hasn’t handled his break-up with Michelle Connor very well, hitting the bottle and intimidating Carla.
And now, they've taken to Twitter to weigh in on his mysterious disappearance on screen during the fatal collapse.
One fan penned: 'Where the hell is Robert Preston.'
'Hmmmm still wondering who cud have caused the factory collapse…. I don't think its Carla, Peter, Abi, Seb or Gary', another said.
'I'm leaning most towards Robert, but theres a small chance it may have been Nick'.
Going through the motions, another wrote: 'So…Who done it? Naturally I think Seb, my dad reckoned Gary.
'I don't think it's Nick – as that's too quick to point the finger. Also, Where the hell was Robert at?'
A fourth shared: 'I'm not sure, but the other night I thought the distinct lack of Robert was quite important #Corrie but now I'm not sure if it's a @itvcorrie decoy or not.'
Nick is also very much in the frame after Toyah Battersby discovered the missing Health and Safety report looking into the incident hidden under his mattress.
