Corrie hasn’t been on screens since last Wednesday (9 October) when fans saw Sinead Tinker (Katie McGlynn) learn that she only has weeks to live.
Along with husband, Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard), she was told that her life expectancy is now just a matter of weeks, leaving the young couple completely crushed.
It was also the day of Ken Barlow’s 80th birthday and so Sinead put on a brave face, assuring Daniel that they should still go.
Her husband then told her that he’d planned a surprise first birthday party for their son, Bertie, aware that Sinead won’t be there for the official day in January.
In the yard of the Rovers, Sinead told her friends and family her horrible news, leaving them all shocked and saddened.
Corrie fans were horrified that they have had to wait an entire week to find out what would happen next with Sinead.
And while Emmerdale was given an extra long episode on Tuesday, it has now been confirmed that beginning Monday October 21 there will be a week packed full of soapy goodness with a huge seven episodes of both Corrie and Emmerdale airing over the week.
Corrie will have an extra episode airing on Thursday October 24 at 8.30pm, while Emmerdale will have an extended hour-long episode on Tuesday October 22.
Spoilers revealing the week’s action packed episode will be published at midnight.
