Dianne, 30, and Dev, 34, became the third Strictly Come Dancing couple to be sent home during last night’s result show of the BBC dance show after finding themselves in the bottom two for the first time. The Australian born ballroom dancer was seen in floods of tears as she and the Radio One presenter made their exit and boyfriend Joe, 28, has revealed his partner is “not ok” and seemed to hit out at the result of the elimination during an interview on Lorraine.

The couple’s routine during movie week led many to believe they could be one of the hot contenders for the crown in just under two months time.

However, after a dance-off with Viscountess Emma Weymouth Emma Weymouth, 33, and her professional partner Aljaž Škorjanec, 29, the four judges unanimously decided to send home Dev.

As the pair took to the floor for the final time, Dianne was consoled by the Radio One presenter as she struggled to contain her upset over the shock result.

Appearing on ITV chat show Lorraine this morning, 2018 finalist Joe gave an update on his girlfriend as the host issued concern following her reaction to being eliminated.

Unfortunately, her exit so early this series means the Australian ballroom dancer will not be following the same suit this year.

Following their Cha Cha Cha routine, Dianne and Dev scored 27 which was a drop of nine point from the previous week which saw them second place on the leaderboard with a score of 36.

Speaking after the result was announced last night, the Radio One presenter said: “I’m not going to lie I am absolutely gutted.”

“But learning how to dance, hanging out with Dianne and the other pros and celebs… I’ve absolutely loved it,” the departing contestant opined.
