CORONATION Street is bringing Todd Grimshaw's ex school pal back to the soap – a staggering 18 years after he last appeared.
Scott Taylor played Todd's friend Stuart Fergus in the early 2000s and he is now reprising the role.
At the undertakers, Todd is tasked with looking after a young boy in the chapel of rest – and the child turns out to be Stuart's son.
Todd, played by Gareth Pierce, will be serving his notice period at the time, having been caught ripping off heartbroken customers by flogging expensive funeral packages.
But after being confronted by grieving dad Stuart, he shows a much softer side and is reminded of his own son.
Watching the way he interacts with Stuart, George ends up offering Todd his job back.
Scott first appeared in Coronation Street as Stuart in 2003, bumping into Todd in the corner shop.
The pair had previously been mates at Weatherfield Comprehensive, with Stuart in the year above his pal.
At the time, Todd was dating then-teen mum Sarah Platt and had planned to go to Oxford University, agreeing rent a bedsit with her at the same time.
But Stuart – who had been in the year above Todd at school – was already at uni in Manchester and was quick to tell him stories about the wild student nightlife he would enjoy.
Sarah was heartbroken when she realised Todd's uni life would not work with hers so madly in love, Todd went on to deliberately fail his exams to avoid leaving Weatherfield.
The pair have long-since split and Todd is now gay.
Meanwhile, following his first Corrie stint, actor Scott went on to star in Dream Team as Harchester United midfielder Danny Rawsthorne.
He also played ambulance driver Frankie Robinson in The Royal.
Scott has also appeared in Emmerdale, Doctors and Waterloo Road.
