Celebrity Lingo: Host RuPaul introduces the show

ITV’s hit game show Celebrity Lingo premiered on screens on Sunday with famous faces battling it out to win a cash prize for their chosen charity. However, as the original host Adil Ray was replaced by Drag Race star RuPaul Charles, viewers were left divided and shared their thoughts on social media.
Fans of the ITV competition will know broadcaster Adil Ray presented the original Lingo gameshow and they were taken aback when they saw he was replaced by RuPaul.
However, other viewers welcomed the change as they tuned into to watch the celebrities try to guess words of different lengths for the chance to win money.
Taking to Twitter @michaelvbrownie wrote: “Find it so strange that [RuPaul] is hosting [Celebrity Lingo] but I’m here for it.”
While @BarnsleyGreen questioned: “Why isn’t [Adil Ray] hosting [Celebrity Lingo]???”

@Smartypant16 welcomed the change, saying: “I’m loving [RuPaul] hosting [Celebrity Lingo]. He’s got the vibe.”
However, @MJ_JJ061215 said: “Bring back [Adil Ray] … it’s just not the same without him.”
@alig1972 added: “Was so looking forward to [Celebrity Lingo] but not sure without [Adil Ray] that it works! The American accent and OTT hosting is so off putting! ! “
