Caleb Milligan’s (William Ash) plan to destroy Home Farm in Emmerdale is all falling into place.
We know the newcomer and his son, Nicky (Lewis Cope), want to take over the businesses and leave Kim (Claire King) with nothing due to her involvement in Frank Tate’s final moments, which saw her watch him die as he experienced a heart attack.
Caleb and Nicky are relatives of Frank’s and while Caleb has been hellbent on seeing the plan through, the same cannot be said for his son.
Nicky was definitely given the short straw when it comes to this deal, as he’s just hours away from marrying Gabby (Rosie Bentham). While Nicky doesn’t want to tie the knot with her, he’s also gay and in a secret on/off relationship with Ally (Josh Horrocks).
Ally has tried his best to stop Nicky from going through with the wedding, tempting him with the life they could have away from the Dales and his dad, and it very nearly worked tonight.
Nicky approached Caleb and told him that he feels terrible for what he’s going to do to Gabby and wants out.
This confrontation came after Caleb had not only got access to Kim’s bank details, but worked out that he could steal her money tomorrow – on Gabby and Nicky’s wedding day.
Nicky quickly regretted his attempt at standing up for himself when Caleb angrily told him that if he wants half of what he’s going to take, he needs to be married to Gabby for at least a year, as she’d get suspicious if he sorted a divorce the next day.
Right now, Nicky has no choice but to go ahead with the wedding tomorrow, but could he rebel, just as Caleb gets access to the final piece of the puzzle?
