Bryce Ruthven and Melissa Rawson were one of the first couples in Married at First Sight Australia season eight to tie the knot. They quickly took their relationship to the next level as they consummated their marriage on the wedding night and fans thought this was a good sign. However since that night, there have been curveballs thrown throughout the entire experiment, leaving many in doubt that Bryce was the one for Melissa.

WARNING: This article contains spoilers from Married at First Sight Australia.

Where is Melissa’s husband Bryce now?

Shortly after sleeping together, Bryce admitted his new wife wasn’t his type physically and explained exactly why she wasn’t in unnecessary detail.

He caused a scene when Melissa asked for some reassurance and threatened to leave if she asked his intentions again.

Prior to the final commitment ceremony, Bryce apparently told one of the other husbands he would end up single as there was a lack of connection with Melissa.

She even said herself to the experts that their relationship felt like a “sinking ship”.

Despite all of this, the pair decided to stay together during the last ceremony, walking away from the experiment hand-in-hand.

So what happened to the couple after the cameras stopped rolling?

Everyone would have assumed following the rollercoaster ride that was the start of their relationship, it wasn’t meant to be.

However, some will be surprised to know that more than one year on, Bryce and Melissa are still a couple.

Since leaving MAFS Australia behind, the pair have actually gone from strength to strength.

Shortly after the process, Bryce and Melissa moved in together and got matching tattoos.

Bryce went on to propose to Melissa during a helicopter flight over Melbourne.

Now, the couple has started a family of their own as they recently welcomed their twin boys into the world.

Bryce and Melissa’s children were born 10 weeks prematurely but thankfully everyone seems to be happy and healthy.

Melissa posted a sweet black and white photo of her engagement ring with her newly born sons’ hands.

She wrote: “On October 16th, 2021, our lives changed forever.

“Our beautiful twin boys, Levi and Tate Ruthven entered this world 10 weeks earlier than expected.

“Our love for them is greater than anything we could have ever imagined and while these next 9 weeks are going to be agony as the battle their way through NICU and SCN, I cannot wait for that moment where they are in my arms on their way home.”

Bryce and Melissa may not have had the best start to their relationship but it appears the difficult days during the experiment have been long forgotten.

The majority of the other couples have unfortunately not stayed together since the show ended.

Besides from Bryce and Melissa, the only other couple to go the distance from season eight are Kerry Knight and Johnny Balbuziente.

MAFS Australia season 8 is currently available to watch on E4.
