AMANDA Holden fought back tears as she watched a schoolboy audition for Britain’s Got Talent.

In scenes set to air this weekend, Cormac Thompson, 13, wows the judges as he performs Snow Patrol track Run.

It’s not just Amanda who is moved by his rendition though – Simon Cowell is also blown away.

Ant and Dec can also be heard discussing how lovely his voice is.

Cormac started uploading videos of himself singing in 2020 during the pandemic and caught the eye of Decca Records who wanted to work with him.

He released a 15-song album entitled Hear My Voice last year.

He competed in the BBC Young Chorister of the Year making it to the final in 2021.

The BGT live semi-finals will take place nightly from Monday May 30, 2022 until Friday June 3, 2022.

Episodes will air from 8pm each night on ITV, with judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams all giving their expert opinion.

Each night eight acts will perform for viewer votes with the most popular act heading straight through to the final.

The judges will pick who joins them from the next two most popular acts.

Britain's Got Talent will conclude with its grand live final on Sunday, June 5, 2022 from 7.30pm.

The final will see the top ten acts from the semi-finals return to compete for the public votes.

One lucky winner will take home a life changing cash prize of £250,000 and a spot at the Royal Variety Performance 2022.
