Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions came to an end on ITV tonight (Saturday, October 5) for fans of the talent show. The final episode saw judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams all back to watch the contestants battle it out to be crowned the winner. Here’s everything fans need to know about who took home the ultimate prize.

Who won Britain’s Got Talent The Champions?

Based on the American version of the series, Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions invited a number of previous winners and finalists to compete for the ultimate crown.

The final episode saw 10 finalists battling it out to win on ITV tonight (Saturday, October 5).

This included former BGT favourites Stavros Flatley, daredevil father and daughter act Bello and Annaliese Nock as well as comedian Preacher Lawson.

All of the Britain’s Got Talent main judges were back for the final episode, including Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams.

The final was hosted by duo Ant and Dec, who had the pleasure of announcing who won the series.

The decision was made by the ‘superfan’ audience in the studio who chose their favourite act.

The three acts who received the most votes in the final show were Ukrainian sand artist Kseniya Simonova, BGT favourites Twist and Pulse and dancing duo Stavros Flatley.

However, only one act who be crowned ultimate winner of the show and after much suspense, this was Twist and Pulse.

Ant and Dec then revealed that Simonova came in third place with Stavros Flatley in second.

Twist and Pulse are a dance duo from London, made up of two friends Ashley Glazebrook and Glen Murphy.

The pair first came to fans attention when they were runners up on Britain’s Got Talent in 2010.

Their act captured viewers’ hearts for its unique combination of street dancing and comedy.

However, they only ended up as runners up in their first competition, just losing out just to Spellbound in the final.

Therefore it was a particularly special moment for the pair to win the BGT The Champions edition.

Speaking about the win to the hosts, Glen said: “I am absolutely speechless, I can’t thank you guys enough – I’m holding back everything right now.”

Ashley added: “I literally feel amazing – I’ve said it before but things like this don’t happen to me and my best friend Glenn.

“I just want to say thank you so much, this means the world to us.”

Their winning performance on the night saw them perform a dance to a mash-up of a number of film hits.

This included an iconic throwback to Titanic as well as a nod to Pixar classic Toy Story.

There was even a reference to ITV reality series Love Island, where Ashley said he wanted to couple up with Simon.

The performance was a big hit with the judges, with Simon telling them: “We see a lot of dance acts who come on this show and I’m sat here thinking ‘I actually haven’t got a clue what to say right now.’

“With you I can say that you just made 6,000 people in this arena get up on their feet.”

The group were Alesha’s Golden Buzzer act and she said: “Everyone is a part of it and I really hope people vote for you.”
