Jordan enters the Big Brother house
Big Brother star Hallie makes a big revelation in tonight’s episode as she comes out as transgender.
The 18-year-old youth worker made her debut on the ITV reality show on Sunday, but chose to wait until after the launch show to open up to her housemates.
In scenes set to air on Monday’s show, the housemates are gathered at the dining table when Hallie makes an announcement.
She explains: “Hey guys, I just have something to say.
“Yesterday I feel like I wasn’t being 100 percent authentic in myself.”

She continued: “I thought I’d let everyone know I’m trans, if you didn’t know already.
“I just thought I’d make that loud and clear. I’m a trans woman if you didn’t know.”
Hallie’s co-stars respond by giving her a hug.
“Good for you,” Chanelle says, adding: “That’s very brave of you.”

Taking in the supportive reaction, Dylan adds: “This is a moment. I like it.”
“I don’t know why I was nervous,” Hallie replies before Farida responds: “You don’t need to be nervous,” and Trish states: “We’ve got you.”
Hallie isn’t the first transgender housemate on the show, with Nadia Almada winning the show back in 2004 and trans man Luke Anderson also being crowned winner in 2012.
Hallie is the youngest contestant of the group of 16, all of whom were introduced during Sunday’s opening show.
The ITV reboot kicked off on ITV1, ITV2, and ITVX in a massive TV takeover on Sunday, with hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best introducing viewers to this year’s housemates.
Viewers were quick to make predictions about the drama to come this year, with many guessing the group would all “hate each other within a week”.
Others express their disappointment as they accused hosts AJ and Will of “ignoring” reigning champion Cameron Cole.
Big Brother airs every day on ITV2 at 9pm and on ITVX.
