Hannah Ferrier worked as Chief Stewardess for five seasons of Bravo’s wildly popular reality series spin-off, Below Deck Mediterranean. Unfortunately, her time on the show will be most remembered for her frequent blowouts with luxury yacht captain Sandy Yawn, and the ex-crewmate is still recalling more shocking stories from their time on the water.

Hannah has claimed Captain Sandy’s jealousy fuelled her boss’s dislike of her during their Below Deck tenure.

Captain Sandy has remained on the Bravo series after the Chief Stew was fired in season five for stashing valium onboard The Wellington.

They famously butted heads several times over the course of the series, but Hannah has now said their relationship off-camera was even more heated.

The 35-year-old reality star revealed the producers had to edit out a number of their worst moments together to make the series fit for screens.

“It was every season, sitting down with production, going, ‘How can we get these two working together where it’s an environment that they won’t kill each other?’” she recalled.

In a recent appearance on The Kyle and Jackie O Show, Hannah claimed Captain Sandy took a dislike to her from the beginning when she first joined in season two.

She recalled: “I think it was about 45 seconds from our first introduction

“[Production] had to stop, and be like, ‘Sandy, you can’t talk to her like that.’ Like straight off the bat.”

Hannah accused Sandy of being a “micromanager” and speculated her dislike came from her portrayal during the first season.

She also claimed her large social media following brought out Sandy’s competitive and “jealous” side towards her.

“It’s that competitiveness, kind of wanting to be the fan favourite,” Hannah continued.

“Looking up Instagram followers. Somebody overheard her talking about, ‘Why [does Hannah] have more Instagram followers?’ It’s just a little bit…” she claimed.

Despite their clash, Sandy has gone on to become a huge social media star in her own right, having accumulated 539k Instagram followers since joining Below Deck Med.

Meanwhile, Hannah has launched her own podcast, Dear Reality, You’re Effed, inspired by her own teenage diary.

She has also founded the Ocean International Training Academy with former co-star Nastia Surmava, which helps up-and-coming yachting prospects make their start.

Her firing from the 2020 series of Below Deck Med is still causing debate amongst fans after she claimed the grounds for her dismissal were unfair.

Hannah was kicked off the Wellington for stashing Valium and a vape pen in her quarters, but the stew later said the drugs were allowed for her anxiety.

She has since been replaced by Chief Stew Katie Flood, though season six’s altercations with Lexi Wilson forced the crew to undergo some major shakeups.

Below Deck Med is expected to return later this year for season seven, which will no doubt feature even more high-seas drama.

Below Deck Mediterranean season seven will premiere in late 2022 on Bravo.
