The final scenes of season two unfortunately see Tony contemplating taking his own life.

Thankfully, at the last moment the nurse Tony has been interested in, Emma (Ashley Jensen), arrived at the door.

As Emma told Tony she was eager to pursue their relationship – despite his grief – the door shut behind her, and the credits rolled.

This conclusion was certainly a bittersweet ending, as it showcased Tony’s dire state of mind, before showing him getting a win for once.

He continued: “But it’s got to be a real demanded-for encore. I’m not going to just do it.
