ABBEY Clancy has revealed the "terrifying" moment clumps of hair started falling out.

The 35-year-old model – who's married to Peter Crouch – admits her confidence has taken a knock thanks to her hair loss over the years.

The mum-of-four also revealed that she developed facial pigmentation following the birth of her kids and found it difficult to leave the house without make-up.

She told OK! magazine: "I was so ill during pregnancy, and my skin was so reactive. It was allergic to everything, even fabrics and washing powder. I also had a lot of hair loss.

"It grows back, but when clumps of hair fall out when you're washing it, it's terrifying.

"I had three kids in four years, so I felt like I had no hair left by the end! It's another thing that was damaging to my confidence. It's scary for any woman going through that."

The model, who is mum to Sophia, nine, Liberty, five, Johnny, three and Jack, 22 months, explained how her skin discolouration left her feeling low.

She added: "I've been struggling with pigmentation for about 10 years now – it began when I was pregnant with my first daughter, Sophia.

"It was quite damaging to my self-confidence – I felt I always had to wear make-up to cover it up – so I'm always on the lookout for products that can help combat that."

The model also recalled her beauty faux pas including bright orange fake tan and Biro-thin eyebrows.

The Britain’s Next Top Model star, who tied the knot with footballer Peter in 2011, joked that she'd be keen to reshoot their big day with better eyebrows this time round.

The TV beauty said: "When you're younger you have a lot more confidence – I used to go out wearing luminous orange fake tan and think that was fine.

"And I had Biro-thin eyebrows on my wedding day – it looked like I had drawn them on.

"I need to put my dress back on and reshoot my wedding day, this time with more acceptable eyebrows!"

The busy mum recently hit the gym for her first exercise class since gyms reopened earlier this month.

Abbey was taking some much needed time to herself after her husband confessed to pulling the wool over her eyes to escape baby duties and family time.

The former Spurs star blamed “important” football work when he was actually sneaking off to go boozing.

He said he had even got club secretaries to send fake emails making attendance for evening events compulsory when he was just going out on the town with team mates.

He said: “There’s been a couple of occasions where there’s a bit of a team bonding session or something like that and Ab will say ‘you don’t have to go that, do you?’ And I would be like ‘I do’.

“There has been one or two occasions where I’ve gone to the secretary and gone ‘can you just fire an email just saying that it’s compulsory and it’s important for the team’. And we would just go and have a night out.

"You train all week to play on a Saturday.

“Certainly when you’re at home and I remember when my first baby was born, Friday night if she’s crying, I’m like ‘that’s not for me, I’ve got a game tomorrow.'"
