JEAN Johansson has broken her silence after her "exhausted" A Place in the Sun co-star quit the show.
Scarlette Douglas dropped out of the Channel 4 hit after seven years to focus on property development and fronting other prime-time shows.
With Scots presenter Jean taking to social media to hail her "hugely inspiring" pal.
She wrote: "I’ll never forget the first time I saw you on A Place in the Sun, it was the first time I saw a black woman presenting a property show and it hugely inspired me.
"Thank You, loving watching your career explode but we’ll miss you (and your outfits)."
With Scarlette taking her final bow today, she said: "After seven years, my final ever episode of A Place in the Sun airs today at 3pm.
"It’s the end of an era! I hope you’ve enjoyed my outfits, my crazy shoes, funky hairstyles and fun personality.
"I’m sure the repeats will keep on coming but there’s plenty of other goodness coming your way."
Speaking on her exit, a source told The Sun: “Scarlette loved her time on A Place In The Sun, especially the platform it gave her, but now she wants to focus on property development with her brother and is really excited about new projects.
“She is passionate about adding value to houses and thinks the new series can help a lot of people.”
