The A Million Little Things Season 4 Episode 3 Promo looks like bad news for Gary Mendez (James Roday Rodriguez). After the flashbacks in episode 2 revealed that Layla’s father, Christopher Gregory (Michael Weston), was the one who physically assaulted Peter Benoit (Andrew Leeds), viewers breathed a sigh of relief. However, it was too soon. Detective Saunders (Brian Markinson) got a tip that led him right to Gary. Also, there’s still no mention of Delilah and Danny leaving for France in the latest promo. Fans hoped to at least get a glimpse of the Dixon family and an update on Delilah’s father, but there’s nothing to indicate that happens.

‘A Million Little Things’ Season 4 Episode 2, ‘Not the Plan’: A recap on the Gary and Peter situation

In A Million Little Things Season 4 Episode 2, “Not the Plan,” viewers watched several flashbacks of Gary with Peter. It turns out that although Gary invited Layla’s father to go to Peter’s house, Gary did not assault the music teacher. Remember, he’s the music instructor who sexually assaulted Layla and Sophie Dixon (Lizzy Greene).

Christopher pulled the bag off of Peter’s head during the night in question and insisted the tied-up man look at him. The distraught father wanted to know what Peter did to his daughter, Layla. She died by suicide and Christopher believes that Peter is the reason for her death. The music instructor insisted that he loved Layla, which only succeeded in angering Christopher more. So, the heartbroken and furious dad punched Peter and asked Gary to leave. At this point, viewers think that Gary did not intend to assault Peter but wanted to intimidate him.

Although Gary goes about his day without mentioning Peter or letting the incident affect his daily life, Christopher is the opposite. Mr. Gregory hid in Gary’s car to ask what they should do. Christopher had red puffy eyes and expressed that he was apprehensive about the police. Gary told him never to speak to him again.

‘A Million Little Things’ Season 4 Episode 3 Promo teases trouble for Gary

In episode 2, Detective Saunders questioned Gary about his whereabouts the night of Peter’s assault. However, Gary provided an alibi (with the help of his father), and the situation didn’t go any further. In the A Million Little Things Season 4 Episode 3 Promo, things escalate for Gary when Peter’s wife describes him.

“Did you notice anything unusual in the weeks leading up to your husband’s attack,” the detective asks Georgia Gregory (Kari Matchett) in the promo.

As she sits by her husband’s bedside in the hospital, Georgia recalls the night she saw Gary.

“There was a man parked outside of our house,” she explained. “He had a beard.”

Although Peter did not wake up yet, the truth is slowly coming out.
