IT'S been a long wait, so Australia fans celebrated in style after watching their nation win a first World Cup match since 2010.
Socceroos fans went wild after Mitchell Duke's goal sealed a 1-0 win against Tunisia.
It means the Aussies' hopes of reaching the knockouts are still alive ahead of their final group game against Denmark.
And it promises to be some party if they do make it past the group stages.
That's if the scenes in Federation Square, Melbourne, from the Tunisia game are anything to go by.
A live feed of the square captured the moment Duke found the back of the net with an expert header.

The crowd of thousands erupted into scenes of carnage as they sent pints of beer flying through the air.
Fans also lit flares in wild scenes as they celebrated the goal.
After Duke's 23rd minute strike the Aussies held on to claim a precious 1-0 victory.
It's the first World Cup clean sheet for the Socceroos since 1974.

But, more importantly, it means Australia can guarantee qualification for the knockout stages with victory over Denmark.
And, depending on results elsewhere, they could even progress with a draw.
Australia take on Denmark in their final group game on Wednesday.
The Socceroos have not qualified for the World Cup knockout stages since 2006, losing in the round of 16 to eventual winners Italy.
