TIGER WOODS looked in great spirits ahead of his potential Masters comeback as he shared a laugh with Rory McIlroy.

The five-time tournament winner was pictured joking around with the Irish superstar at Augusta.



The pair came face to face while getting their eyes in on the 10th hole of the iconic course.

And spirits seemed high, with Woods, 46, and McIlroy, 32, sharing a laugh and fist bump together as they continued to practise ahead of the first round on Thursday.

The duo have a combined 19 major wins between them, including five Masters triumphs.

All of those though at Augusta are for Woods though with McIlroy yet to pull on the illustrious green jacket – the only major he is yet to win.

Fans are still waiting to see whether Woods will enter himself into this year's competition – 14 months after his near fatal car crash in Los Angeles.

Woods has promised a "game time" decision on whether he will declare himself for Thursday's opening round.

But Butch Harmon has warned Woods will only play if he believes he has a real chance of winning the entire tournament.

The signs appear to be good though, as after a nine-hole practice round on Monday Woods took to the course once again on Tuesday, where he was snapped alongside McIlroy.

The duo enjoyed a chat on the notoriously difficult par four 10th hole.

And it's a hole that McIlroy knows very well, but not for the right reasons.

The Northern Irishman had a four shot lead when he stood on the 10th tee back in 2011, but threw his chances of a green jacket away by the time he finally made it to the 11th.

McIlroy duck-hooked a drive and played a shot from a cabin, before finally putting in for a TRIPLE bogey.

So he made sure he headed there on Tuesday morning in order to avoid a repeat performance when the competition proper does kick off.
