REAL MADRID are set to offer Vinicius Jr. a new seven-year contract, according to reports.

The Brazilian's current deal does not expire until 2025.

But Los Blancos are determined to secure his long-term future and prevent any other club from sniffing around the attacker.

A massive release clause of £940million, according to ABC Spain, shows how highly they rate and value the 21-year-old.

In fact, if Vinicius signs the contract it will be the highest release clause fee in world football.

Real Madrid have made high release clauses a key part of their policy when negotiating new contracts with players.

And as a result of that policy seven of the highest release clauses in the world belong to Real players, including Vinicius.

It is believed the youngster is keen to stay at the Bernabeu and there will be no problem negotiating his salary.

He currently earns around £60,000 a week but that could reportedly rise to £90,000.

The Spanish giants hope to ward off interest from the likes of Paris St Germain and Newcastle.

And though reports last summer reports suggested the winger was offered to Manchester United as part of the deal that saw Raphael Varane leave, it seems that was never Real's intention.
