FANCY yourself as a bit of a singer? Well, look no further.

Racing Welfare has launched the 'Furlong Factor' in an attempt to raise funds for its £500,000 emergency appeal as the coronavirus bites throughout the sport.

There is an amazing trip to the Arc up for grabs as well as £1,500 to the winning solo artist, duet or even group.

Anyone from the industry is welcome to enter – whether from the media, a yard, a stud or an administrator.

All you need to do is get your tape into the charity. The heats take place between April 19 and May 4 with a final set to take place on May 9 on which the Tote will be opening a market. What's not to like?

Sky Sports Racing and Great British Racing will be covering the event and it's hoped plenty of funds can be raised at difficult times for many in the sport.

To enter the Furlong Factor contestants simply need to record themselves singing into their phone and email their videos to [email protected] or send in by WhatsApp to 07970 631170.

Anyone wishing to enter now has 9 days to plan, rehearse and submit their videos and entries for the competition will close on Friday 24th April.

Full details on how to enter and all the terms and conditions are on the Racing Welfare website: www.racingwelfare.co.uk/furlong-factor.
