PAIGE SPIRANAC is loving the LIV Golf drama that has threatened to tear apart the sport.

The social media star was reacting to Rory McIlroy's dig at Greg Norman – who is fronting the controversial Saudi-backed series.

McIlroy had just won the Canadian Open and bagged his 21st PGA Tour title when he took a swipe at Norman.

Rory's win in Toronto took him one ahead of Norman, who ended his career with 20 tour titles.

And McIlroy said on CBS: "Twenty-first PGA Tour win, one more than someone else.

"That gave me a little extra incentive today. Really happy to get that done.”

He added in his press conference: “Look, I alluded to it. I had extra motivation of what's going on across the pond.

"The guy that's spearheading that Tour has 20 wins on the PGA Tour and I was tied with him and I wanted to get one ahead of him. And I did.

"So that was really cool for me, just a little sense of pride on that one.”

McIlroy has been vocal this week in his support of the PGA Tour while some of his rivals have defected over to LIV.

The feud has turned into a civil war which threatens to rip the sport apart with the likes of Bryson DeChambeau and Patrick Reed joining LIV for the second event in Oregon later this month.

All PGA Tour members who signed up for LIV were suspended by commissioner Jay Monahan.

After McIlroy's win Sunday, Spiranac tweeted: "Rory being shady towards Greg Norman saying he has one more win than him.

"LIV-ing for this drama…I’ll be here all week."

Justin Thomas also took at shot at LIV Golf after finishing third behind McIlroy and Tony Finau in Toronto.

He tweeted: "What a week. That’s why we play, and that’s why we play on the PGA Tour.

"Got to battle against one of the best today and got out dueled, but not without a fight.

"Congrats to Rory McIlroy on his 21st win and an amazing finish – can’t wait for US Open."
