NEWCASTLE'S chase to sign Paris Saint-Germain's Stanley N'Soki is over after failing to match his wage demands, according to reports.

The Toon were in discussions to land the 20-year-old centre-back after having a £10million bid accepted.

But according to Get French Football News, the player and club are way off when it came to discussing personal terms.

They write that Newcastle's offers have been way below what the player is expecting and he has no interest in entertaining a move to the North East unless they dramatically increase their pay packet.

Newcastle are expected to make one more attempt to convince the player that his future belongs in the Premier League.

Boss Steve Bruce has been active in the transfer market having landed three major summer signings since his arrival.

Yesterday they completed a double swoop for Allan Saint-Maximin and Jetro Williams following the big-money arrival of Joelinton.

Saint-Maximin joins from Nice in a deal that starts at £16.5million but could rise to £20m.

Dutch international Willems, 25, moves from Eintracht Frankfurt on a season-long loan.

The Toon have an option to make his move permanent at the end of the campaign.

But the Magpies manager still wants up to three more signings and is especially targeting full-backs.
