MANUEL PELLEGRINI is working to repair a minor dressing-room division at West Ham over defending.

The Hammers boss’ big task is to get his players pulling in the same direction again after their 3-0 derfeat at Burnley.

A source said: “There is a feeling they are not defending as a team, that everyone has a responsibility to help out.

“It’s not a massive problem, more of a gripe. But it’s one of those that needs addressing.”

West Ham have also suffered from the injury to keeper Lukasz Fabianski, who has torn a hip muscle.

They have not won a match since the Pole was crocked last month.

It is now seven games without a win in all competitions for the Irons, who sat fifth at one point.

Skipper Mark Noble has a sprained ankle and waits to see if he will be fit for the tricky home game against fierce rivals Tottenham.

West Ham will already be without forward Manuel Lanzini, who has had surgery on his collarbone.

There is some bright news for Pellegrini, with influential winger Michail Antonio now recovered from a torn hamstring.
