SCOTT McTOMINAY arrived at the Lowry Hotel carrying an electronic "massage therapist" ahead of Thursday night's Europa League tie.

The Scotland midfielder, 22, has been an ever-present for Man Utd in the league this season – and is taking drastic steps to recover quickly between games.

McTominay joined the rest of his team-mates at the Lowry Hotel – where old boss Jose Mourinho famously lived during his time as Old Trafford chief – ahead of the Europa League clash against Astana.

And he turned up clutching a NormaTec Leg Recovery system – which promises to help you "recover faster and boost circulation" and "reduce pain and soreness".

The product – which costs up to £1,900 – also claims to be "like a personal, on-call massage therapist".

McTominay is by no means the only sports star to use the cutting-edge technology.
