IAN WRIGHT has slammed Diogo Dalot after he wasted a golden chance to set Rasmus Hojlund up against Bournemouth.

The Red Devils were thrashed 3-0 by Andoni Iraoloa's side with goals from Dominic Solanke, Philip Billing and Dominic Solanke enough to secure the win.

It was another frustrating day at the office for the £72million Rasmus Hojlund who is still waiting for his first Premier League goal.

Hojlund started the game on the bench with Anthony Martial coming in for him instead.

After Martial failed to impress again, Hojlund came on in the 56th minute.

His arrival onto the field was cheered by fans but he was soon denied the chance to open up his Premier League account.

Dalot had the chance to cross the ball for Hojlund in the 67th minute but opted to shoot instead.

A visibly angry Hojlund screamed at Dalot and gestured for the ball.

The chance presented itself with the game still at 1-0 and Bournemouth extended their lead soon after.

Former Arsenal striker Wright fumed during his analysis on BBC's Match of the Day and slammed the Portuguese right back for making the wrong decision.

He said: "When I saw it was Dalot at 1-0… Hojlund had just come on and he wants these chances. It's good play, he [Dalot] gets in and he's got to square it.

"I think that's a total lack of respect for him [Hojlund], he doesn't even acknowledge him.

"He's had a shot from the most ridiculous angle. He's upset with himself but he doesn't even look for Hojlund, it was a ridiculous shot and Bournemouth scored a minute later.

"Hojlund has got to be pulling him up in the dressing room and saying 'come on.'"
