ZINEDINE ZIDANE wants to build a French dynasty at Real Madrid by convincing compatriots Paul Pogba, N'Golo Kante, and Kylian Mbappe to join him in Spain.
Los Blancos president Florentino Perez admitted that the La Liga giants are interested in a deal for an unnamed French player as he discussed the club's shortcomings last summer.
Perez, 72, has come under fire among Real fans for failing to land Manchester United star Pogba before conceding that signing Paris Saint-Germain's Mbappe will be a tough task.
"We have gone for Lewandowski for several years and they won't sell him, it has been the same case for Pogba," He said, as reported by Spanish publication AS.
"Clearly we like a Frenchman that is talked and we want to go for him, but they won't sell."
The World Cup-winning trio are high on Zidane's wishlist, but Premier League stars Pogba and Kante have proven difficult to strike deals for.
The Los Blancos coach has already raided Chelsea for Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois in recent years.
And according to the Athletic, both ex-Blues have already remarked privately to friends that Kante is the player Real are missing.

Despite spending around £300million on six new players, a Madrid insider told the outlet that there is already concern about the season ahead.
SunSport reported yesterday that the Spanish giants made their interest in Kante known earlier this year and Chelsea have agreed to give them a heads-up if they are willing to sell.
The Athletic adds that Madrid are also set to make a renewed effort to land Pogba next summer, with the prospect of landing the World Cup-winning duo greatly appealing to Zidane.
The pair already proved their great understanding in midfield together for France, with Pogba leading the tributes for his international teammate Kante after his heroics in Russia last year.
Meanwhile, summer signing Ferland Mendy has been given the nod at left-back, with current stalwart Marcelo being 32 by next campaign and likely to be moved on.
Likewise, Luka Modric will soon turn 33 and was linked to a switch to Italy this past window, with Toni Kroos being dubbed "indispensable" by club captain Sergio Ramos.
And Luka Jovic has already been made available for loan after failing to impress Zidane, who has opted for club legend Karim Benzema in attack this term.
