TEMPLEGATE takes on an absolutely blockbuster day of racing on Sunday looking to find a few winners.

Read on for our man's top tips and find his must-read big race verdicts below.

NEW LONDON (Doncaster 3.55, nap)

Blitzed his rivals to win the Gordon Stakes at Glorious Goodwood, showing a high cruising speed and powerful finish to suggest he would have no problem seeing out this extra quarter-mile.

He has few miles on the clock so can improve further and looks hard to beat.

WHENTHEDEALINSDONE (Doncaster 2.10, nb)

Was fifth in this last year but has improved since as his impressive Ascot victory last time shows.

He’s off a similar weight and won’t be far away for a yard that won this race in 2019.

KINROSS (Doncaster 3.20, treble)

Was impressive when claiming the City Of York Stakes and looks hard to beat again.

The winning margin was just over a length but it looked easier than that and this trip with a little give in the ground is ideal.

Only three runners but you can make a case for any one of the trio.

CHALDEAN looks the one to beat after his impressive victory in the Acomb Stakes at York last time.

He was always up with the pace and went on three furlongs from home.

He had a right ding-dong with Indestructible up the Knavesmire straight but was comfortably on top crossing the line.

There should be a good deal more to come from both of them but Frankie Dettori’s mount can take the bigger step forward.

They both have a formidable foe in the shape of Silver Knott.

He won a minor contest on the all-weather at Kempton before taking a real leap forward in taking the Solario Stakes at Sandown.

He picked up well to land that Group 3 and will be a major threat again for Charlie Appleby and William Buick.

1.00

TANMAWWY has winning form here and ran right up to his best when scoring in gutsy style at Ffos Las 14 days ago.

He goes on any ground and should be right there again in a fiendishly tough race.

Mums Tipple won at Newmarket last month and was close to that level with a neck second at Ascot last week.

He is right at home at this trip and Ryan Moore takes over.

Shine So Bright was a Group 2 winner a couple of years ago and has found his mojo with back-to-back wins at Newmarket.

He has good claimer Harry Davies in the saddle and his stamina will be an asset at this in-between trip.

1.35

TRILLIUM is progressing fast and stepped into Group 3 level to win with plenty in hand at Goodwood last time.

She enjoyed dropping back to this trip for that Molecomb success and can improve again.

The Platinum Queen has loads of speed and landed a couple of hot contests at Goodwood and York before a fantastic second in the Group 1 Nunthorpe.

She was getting weight from her elders there but it was still a fine effort and she is a big threat again.

Crispy Cat was an unlucky third in the Norfolk at Royal Ascot and the drop back to this trip will suit.

Malrescia has an each-way shout. Funny Money Honey will like the soft ground but looks exposed.

WHENTHEDEALINSDONE was fifth in this last year but has improved since as his impressive Ascot victory last time shows.

He’s off a similar weight and won’t be far away for a yard that won this race in 2019.

Makanah had no luck when fifth at York latest. He was full of running after getting squeezed along the rail. He’s back from the same mark with a big say.

Lord Riddiford scored well at Goodwood and is a Listed winner at best. He goes on any ground and has solid place claims.

Chipstead went from the front to win at Sandown and likes 6f too so should have no issue with this in-between distance.

He is up 8lb but looks capable of some improvement. Ghathanfar is in good heart and is shortlisted.

2.45

TRUESHAN is on a different level to these, especially with some cut in the ground.

Alan King has been a little more adventurous with his star this season and let him run on fast going last time when he was a decent third in the Goodwood Cup.

He was just over a length behind Kyprios and Stradivarius on the Downs and this is a lot easier.

The galloping track will be ideal and more rain would only help his chances. It should be a good battle for second between Coltrane and Get Shirty.

The former’s best effort came when winning a Listed contest at Sandown over two miles in July.

He was then fourth in the Goodwood Cup before a distant second when well backed in the Lonsdale Cup at York.

He stays strongly and won’t mind if it gets testing. Get Shirty won Haydock’s Old Newton Cup over a mile and a half before a good fifth in the Ebor under a big weight.

Stamina shouldn’t be an issue. Stratum is respected. He won the Queen Alexandra Stakes again at Royal Ascot and won’t be stopping at the line.

KINROSS was impressive when winning the City Of York Stakes and looks hard to beat again.

The winning margin was just over a length but it looked easier than that and this trip with a little give in the ground is ideal.

Sacred was down the field there but she is better than that as her close fifth in the Platinum Jubilee at Royal Ascot suggests.

This may not be her ideal trip but it would be no surprise to see her bounce back.

Al Suhail was also behind the tip last time but was having his first run of the season and should be sharper for it.

Garrus was a good third in a Deauville Group 1 last time and will be a big threat if seeing out this longer distance.

NEW LONDON looks a capital bet in the St Leger. At the start of the season, trainer Charlie Appleby had high hopes for this Dubawi colt who he identified as a big Derby hope.

Sadly he didn’t handle the Roodee’s tight turns when second in the Chester Vase but he showed his potential when bouncing back to win a hot handicap at Newmarket after a break.

He left that solid form behind when blitzing his rivals to win the Gordon Stakes at Glorious Goodwood.

He showed a high cruising speed there but powered through the line to suggest he would have no problem seeing out this extra quarter-mile.

He has few miles on the clock so can improve further and looks hard to beat.

Frankie Dettori has an impressive five Leger caps in his trophy cabinet and has been making positive noises about Haskoy.

We haven’t seen a lot of Ralph Beckett’s challenger who won a Wolverhampton maiden as recently as late July.

She was then pitched into the listed Galtres Stakes at York where she battled well to score.

The way she finished suggests moving up in trip will bring more improvement and she can hit the frame.

Hoo Ya Mal was third in the Gordon behind the tip but enjoyed moving up to 1m6f when taking the March Stakes at Goodwood last time.

That proven stamina is an asset but he may lack the class of his main rivals so is playing for a place.

Eldar Eldarov showed his staying power when winning the Queen’s Vase at Royal Ascot in June.

He was then unwisely dropped to 1m4f when a fair fourth in the Grand Prix De Paris at Longchamp.

He’ll be much happier over this distance for in-form trainer Roger Varian.

French Claim last ran in the Irish Derby where he was a creditable third, albeit nine lengths off the winner.

He needs this longer distance to bring lots of improvement.

Emily Dickinson isn’t the strongest runner Aidan O’Brien has sent over for this race and she came up short at Goodwood last time.

4.30

ATRIUM has been running in hot handicaps all season and landed another deserved win at Newbury last time out.

He picked his way though the field to win with plenty left in the tank crossing the line.

That was over this mile and he can put in another good effort under William Buick.

Tyrrhenian Sea likes to come from off a strong pace and should get that here.

He was a good second in a tough contest at York last time and is best at this distance.

Astro King didn't fire in a Pontefract Listed race latest but showed better form when fourth in the 29-runner Royal Hunt Cup at Ascot.

Sir Michael Stoute puts a visor on him for the first time today which could give him a lift. His form isn't far short of winning this.

Arthur's Realm went down in a photo at Thirsk last time and is best over this distance. He moves up in grade here but can't be ruled out.

Johan won the Lincoln here in March and has only run once since, way back in April. His liking for the track makes him a contender.

5.05

INCHICORE came home like a train when fourth in the big-field Old Newton Cup at Haydock last time.

She was held up a bit too long and the line came just too soon for Alan King’s mare.

Stepping up in distance in more testing conditions here should be ideal as she scored cosily at Goodwood the last time she tackled this sort of trip.

Ryan Moore taking over doesn’t do her chances any harm either.

Fair Star has place claims if repeating the form of his close-up fourth here last month. He stays well and was beaten just a neck at Lingfield latest.

Sir Chauvelin may be 10 but he’s in fine nick having won at Musselburgh before a close second at Musselburgh latest.

He stays well and trainer Jim Goldie is in fair form.

Mr Curiosity is back from a long break but likes this trip and should be fit enough to do himself justice.

Songo has been flying at lower levels and deserves a crack at this better grade.

CURRAGH SUNDAY

1.15

BIG GOSSEY won this race 12 months ago and returns in great form having followed a hat-trick of seconds with a good win at The Curragh last time.

He has a decent draw here and can go close again.

Gordon Bennett is in fine heart having scored at Naas and The Curragh. He went well clear of his rivals last time and could cope with a 9lb rise in the weights.

Verhoyen is consistent in races like this and went close again at Roscommon latest. He has winning form over this trip and track and looks well handicapped on his best form.

Laugh A Minute was a good Galway third after a barging match last time and has to be considered from the same handicap mark.

1.50

LA PETITE COCO looks a good bet to follow up last year's win in this race. She has been in sparkling form having come back from nine months off to win the Pretty Polly Stakes at The Curragh in June.

She followed that with a good third in the Yorkshire Oaks when upped in distance and dropping back to 1m2f today can see her back in front.

Ryan Moore has picked Above The Curve of the Ballydoyle team and she was impressive when taking a Longchamp Group 1 way back in May.

It's a slight worry that we haven't seen her since but Aidan O'Brien will have her revved up.

Insineundo had to sit and suffer when beaten a neck in the Royal Whip at The Curragh.

The gap came a little too late and she couldn't reel in the winner. She may have needed that after five months off and has place claims again.

Rumbles Of Thunder scored cosily at Cork last time and won't mind if there's give in the ground. She needs to improve but could run into the frame.

2.25

HIGHFIELD PRINCESS has really impressed since stepping into Group 1 level.

She ran a cracker in the Platinum Jubilee at Royal Ascot before improving to score at Deauville before taking the Nunthorpe at York last time out.

She seems to handle any ground and can make it a hat-trick of successes at the highest level.

A Case Of You took a Group 1 in Dubai this sprint and went close at the Curragh on comeback before a blip in that Platinum Jubilee.

He has been given a break since then by Adrian McGuinness which may revive his fortunes as he has lots of ability.

Mooniesta was pipped on the line as she tried to defend her Sapphire Stakes crown at The Curragh last time.

That was a good effort and a repeat could see her on the podium here.

Dragon Symbol finished strongly into fifth in the Nunthorpe despite the ground being on the sharp side. Any rain would enhance his chances.

3.00

MEDITATE looks hard to beat after she kept up her 100 per cent record with victory in the Debutante Stakes at The Curragh last time.

The winning margin would have been further than three-quarters of a length had she not stumbled in the closing stages.

That proved her liking for 7f after she won the Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot over shorter and she can progress further here.

Tahiyra could be anything after winning her maiden at Galway by more than five lengths on debut.

She's bred to be high-class and we'll get a clearer picture about her today.

Sydneyarms Chelsea got the job done nicely in a Deauville Group 3 last month when battling right to the line.

This is another step up for her but she could hit the placings.

Never Ending Story won a Group 3 over this trip at Leopardstown and wasn't far away in good company at Deauville latest.

She needs a step up to beat her Ballydoyle stablemate but is a nice prospect.

3.35

AESOP'S FABLES can end the six-year wait of Aidan O'Brien to add to his National Stakes tally.

This colt looked very smart when bounding home to win the Futurity Stakes at The Curragh 22 days ago.

He kept finding under Ryan Moore and has more to offer with just two runs under his belt.

Stablemate Hans Andersen chased him home and looks the danger again today. He saw out the trip well and is another open to improvement.

Marbaan took a big step forward when winning the Group 2 Vintage Stakes at Glorious Goodwood.

He took a little while to get going but did it nicely at the line and should have more to offer for in-form Charlie Fellowes.

Shartash wasn't disgraced in the Phoenix Stakes here last month and is interesting upped in trip.

He was outpaced over 6f so this could suit the Johnny Murtagh runner.

Proud And Regal was just over two lengths behind the tip when they clashed here in the Futurity and there's no obvious reason why he would turn that around.

4.10

KYPRIOS has proved himself at the highest level this season and dropping back in distance holds no fears for the Aidan O'Brien-trained class act.

His finest hour came when winning the Ascot Gold Cup in June where he showed the blend of stamina and quality you need for that contest.

He showed that was no fluke when knuckling down to win the Goodwood Cup last time ahead of a rejuvenated Stradivarius with Trueshan in third.

He has high-level form over this shorter trip and looks hard to beat.

Hamish comes here a fresh horse having not run since his Group 3 Ormonde Stakes win a Chester in May. He stayed really well there and trainer William Haggas will have him ready for this tough comeback.

Search For A Song has won this race twice and was sixth last year. She was second in the trial for this last month and has place claims.

Raise You finished ahead of her that day and won fair and square.

That was his first crack at a staying trip and he clearly improved for it. A repeat would see him right in the each-way hunt.

4.45

STREETS OF GOLD has won all three starts in style, including a hot 18-runner contest at York last time.

He cruised along there before picking up strongly. All the victories have come over this distance and he looks hard to beat.

Another English raider Dandy Alys looks the main threat. She went close in the Sweet Solera Stakes at Newmarket last time when upped to 7f.

She won over the minimum trip before that and has lots of zip so this drop in distance isn't a worry.

Tostado rallied to win at Chester which is a good sign for a young horse. She liked the soft ground so would welcome some rain but has more to offer.

Alabama Pearl needed her debut run here and was just pipped at Dundalk latest. This is a hotter contest but she should improve and the yard is in good form.

Rattle And Hum was hampered when going well on debut at Galway last time. He boxed on into third but looks a lot better than that.

5.20

AMORTENTIA has shown promise in handicaps this season since winning at Naas back in May.

He was then thrown into the deep end at Royal Ascot where he ran well in the Britannia Stakes.

He was last seen being beaten less than a length over course and distance in July. He might have won but for being hampered at a crucial stage.

Trainer Joseph O'Brien won this race last year and has another chance here.

Lalaps tried to come from a mile back at Galway and did well to finish fourth. He stays and likes some cut so a bit of rain would help.

Flying Dolphin ran well in the King George V at Royal Ascot and is better than we saw at Leopardstown latest.

Star Harbour was beaten less than a length in the Irish Cambridgeshire latest and that looks strong form.

He has gone up just l1b which is fair enough.

Good Heavens was just ahead of him in that cavalry charge and, as a three-year-old, should have more to offer.
