Football fans have ridiculed Chelsea’s ‘cauliflower wings’ dish which has been sold to fans at Stamford Bridge.

A supporter took a photo of the disappointing meal which has been shared on popular Twitter account @FootyScran.

The picture shows a box with just five pieces of cauliflower wings with four celery slices which is priced up at a whopping £7.95.

Those who reacted to the picture, were shocked at the price the person had to pay at Chelsea’s ground.

One Twitter user described it as a ‘bigger robbery’ than Thierry Henry’s handball for France which cost the Republic of Ireland a place at the 2010 World Cup.

A lot of comments brought up Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich’s sanctioning, with one saying it was ‘no wonder’ the Russian had been sanctioned describing the price as ‘ridiculous’.

Another user said: ‘Increase their sanctions for that,’ while a Chelsea fan commented: ‘Maybe we deserve the sanctions’.

Another football fan made light of Chelsea’s 3-1 defeat to Real Madrid in the first-leg of their Champions League quarter-final.

Karim Benzema scored a hat-trick on the night, giving Real Madrid a healthy advantage going into the second leg at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Another Chelsea fan commented: ‘I love Chelsea with my whole heart, but the food at Stamford Bridge is has absolutely horrid value for money.’

One fan hoped the funds would be used to sign Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland.

Others weren’t impressed with the meal as Darren wrote: ‘£7.95 for a bit of fried cauliflower? That’s absolutely mental.’

While Alex Williams wrote: ‘If you’re buying cauliflower wings at the football you deserve that price.’
