DELIA SMITH appeared shaken after he car was hit by beer and flares as the Norwich City owner arrived for the East Anglia derby.

The celebrity TV chef and massive Canaries fan headed to Portman Road to watch her side take on their high-flying arch-enemies Ipswich for the Championship lunchtime kick-off.

Smith and husband Michael Wynn-Jones' grey BMW were driven into the Portman Road car park protected by a police escort as the authorities held back the home fans.

And while many were content to make an intimidating atmosphere with chanting and blue flares, one yob attacked the vehicle with a lager tin that landed on the bonnet while a flare struck the back windscreen.

Delia was then photographed after the ordeal walking from her car into the stadium in conversation with another lady, thought to be a member of staff at Ipswich.

It is understood Smith's car directly followed the Norwich team bus to the stadium.
