EVERTON starlet Lewis Gibson is being eyed by Bundesliga giants plus Newcastle and Rangers as the Under-17 World Cup winner has yet to be offered a new contract.

Centre-back Gibson broke into the England U-20 side this month but his Goodison deal runs out in the summer.

And Newcastle are reportedly interested in re-signing the 19-year-old, who joined Everton for £6million in 2017 after complaining about Toon U-23 coach Peter Beardsley.

The Magpies backed Beardsley at the time but have since sacked the ex-England striker for gross misconduct after he racially abused African players.

Gibson is also friends with two new Toon heroes, the Longstaff brothers Sean and Matty

The Athletic say German top-flight clubs are equally keen on a player who has yet to make his senior Everton debut.

And Steven Gerrard's Scottish Premiership leaders are also thought to be considering Gibson.

Many of Liverpool legend Gerro's signings have been youngsters from south of the border, notably £7m wing star Ryan Kent from Anfield.

But Gibson has seen wideman Jadon Sancho jump from Manchester City fringe player to England star after moving to the Bundesliga with Borussia Dortmund.

And Gibson, who can also play left-back, might want to review his situation later – as Maro Silva, the bookies' favourite to be the next Prem manager axed, battles to lift the Toffees out of the drop zone.

Gibson will be free to negotiate a pre-contract deal elsewhere in January, unless Everton offer him new terms.
