BARCELONA hope to sell Philippe Coutinho to fund replacing crock Luis Suarez – with Arsenal's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang still targeted.

That's the suggestion from Catalunya Radio Barcelona, as the La Liga champs see if Bayern will turn their loan deal for ex-Liverpool playmaker Coutinho into a permanent move on transfer deadline day.

Arsenal are determined to resist any move for skipper and top scorer Aubameyang, 30, as Barca weigh up a £50million bid.

But the Spanish giants might first need to offload Brazil star Coutinho, 27.

Bayern have been unwilling to pay the £102m asking price but Barcelona could compromise on the fee to help them sign a new striker.

Suarez, 33, is likely to be out until May following knee surgery, leaving Barca over-reliant on Lionel Messi up front.
