ARSENAL are ready to rival neighbours Tottenham for the signature of Norwich defender Max Aarons.

Spurs have been active in pursuing the England under-21 international star as they search for a new right back to make the position his own.

The North London club have been in contact with Norwich and there is a belief that the relegation threatened club might even be in a position to strike a deal around £30million this month.

That would depend on them being able keep Aarons, 19, on loan for the remainder of the campaign in an effort to help their fight to avoid the drop.

But according to the Mail, Arsenal have now shown an interest in trying to pounce for the full-back themselves.
